I have found that sometime calling the airline directly will get you a better price than websites like Priceline, Expedia,ETC...Try it.
SouthWest Best Prices I have ever found especially late in the game.
If you don't mind driving check flights into Dallas or Houston - usually you get better rates, also if there is a bigger city near you - that might help too. If you have a family emergency, illness or death in the family some airlines have special pricing for these circumstances Also check Southwest as San Antonio is the hub for that airline. Contenental hub is Houston and Americans is Dallas. Good Luck!
