  2. look at getting a one year round the world ticket. you can then travel london to perth to east coast of australia then keep flying east till you arrive back in the u.k. - much cheaper and very flexible airfares & you can change the onward flight dates - only the first departure is set. check with Student Flights & Flight Centre &/or virgin blue airlines also check the yha website for accommodation and work also check gap year travel and employment web pages in the u.k.
  3. You can normally book your flights up to eleven months before you depart. Cheapest time to fly down under is between April and June. peek time to fly is Christmas! Try looking on a website called airline.com for flights. have flown BA and Qantas. Qantas was by far the best! I have heard good reports about Singapore airlines and Emirates. Do a web search for prices and also pop into as many travel agents as possible. Shopping around will enable you to choose your best flight. It is also cheaper to fly on a Sunday night apparently. Do a night flight as it is by far the best. You could also do web searches for gap years in Australia.
  4. during the week like monday- thrusday are the cheepest, and go to priceline.com they have this thing where you can put how much u want to spend per person, and they try hard to get that for you.
