How do you find really cheap airline tickets to india?

Im just a kid so I have nooo idea how to find airline tickets online or anything. A family friend of ours is getting married in India and my dad said that if I can find cheap round trip airline tickets, we can go. But I dont even know where to start. Air India is what we flew last time we went to india. This trip would be at the beginning-middle of march 2009.
