Where can i find SUPER cheap plane tickets?

I'm planning a trip for me and my 3 month old son (he will be on my lap) to SC from CT on april 17th-april 23rd. My mom has frequent flier miles, but i dont think they will work since i will have my son...which is ridiculous since it is free to fly him on my lap anyways....i need to know a good site to purchase a cheap ticket. Unfortunately SC does not have a lot if any discount airlines flying there. I would suggest you see if you can get a cheaper plane ticket out of NYC. You can also try http://www.kayak.com or http://www.airfarewatchdog.com. You need to buy your tickets pretty soon because if you do not buy at least 14 days before your travel date, the ticket prices go up.
I am in the same boat. I want cheap tickets from SLC to DFW. Having a hard time finding any.
